Being a volunteer is extremely rewarding. Not only are you helping animals in need, it is good for your emotional, physical, and mental health. We are always looking for volunteers to walk, play, and socialize the dogs. We also encourage our volunteers to help with training and take pictures! And hey, you may just find a new furry companion while you are at it!
Volunteer Policies
Every volunteer must agree to our policies and go through training. You must agree to never use force or harm on any animal at the ranch. We have a zero tolerance policy. At Layla's Heart Ranch and Rescue we never use aversive or punitive training techniques. We focus on positive reinforcement training and building trust. We believe in having patience and going at the animals' pace. This is a safe place and all animals will be treated with kindness and compassion.
All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and go through a background check.
